Open to graduate and undergraduate students; each team must have University of Portland students as an integral part of the team.Teams can choose to compete in the for-profit track or the non-profit track.
- Important Dates
The business plan competition will be open for applications on December 1, 2011. Intent to compete forms are due on April 18, 2012. All business plans and executive summaries must be submitted by April 21, 2012. Finalists will present their business plans to the judges on April 28, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
The grand prize winner in the for-profit track will be eligible for a $100,000 investment (half cash, half support services.
The grand prize winner in the non-profit track will be eligible for a $2,500 grant and professional services award.
Cash prizes will also be awarded to each of the finalist teams:
1st place: $250
2nd place: $100
3rd place: $50

The judges are experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from the region. They will evaluate each business plan and presentation on a variety of criteria.
