University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business and Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
- Who's Eligible
All participating teams must be led by Notre Dame students or alumni.
This competition is open to venture that are in either a pre-launch phase or early stage of launch.
Individuals may compete on more than one team.
- Important Dates
Round one submissions are due on November 7, 2011. Those teams advancing to Round two must submit a business plan by February 12, 2012. Semifinalists will be announced on March 16, 2012, and will be required to present their business plans to a panel of judges. After a semi-final round, finalists will compete for prizes at the final event on April 20, 2012. Awards will be announced following presentations.
- Competition Prizes
Teams will compete for more than $100,000 in cash and in-kind prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive up to $20,000 in cash and in-kind prizes. The Klau Family Prize for Greatest Social Impact will award $15,000 to a team with the best social business plan.
- Other Info
Teams wishing to be considered for the Klau Family Social Impact Prize must demonstrate potential for growth, a plan for financial sustainability, and measurable social impact.
