Any full-time Notre Dame student or Notre Dame alumnus. Participants may compete as individuals or as part of a team.
- Important Dates
Registration deadline is November 8, 2010. 10-page business plans are due on February 11, 2011. Semi-finalists will be announced on March 18, 2011, and the final event will take place on April 15, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
More than $100,000 in cash and in-kind prizes are available in this competition. The Grand Prize winner will receive $20,000 in cash and in-kind services. The runner-up will receive $5,000. Several other awards will also be given out, including the $15,000 Klau Family Prize for Greatest Social Impact and the $5,000 prize for Best Nanotechnology Venture.

Formerly billed as the “Social Venture Competition,” the Klau Family Prize for Greatest Social Impact is now a vital part of the McCloskey Business Plan Competition, and offers all ventures – both for-profit and not-for-profit – the opportunity to compete for an additional $15,000 in cash and in-kind prizes.
