- Who's Eligible
Open to all University of New Mexico students. Each student team must have a faculty member. Business plans should focus on viable technology products and/or services.
At least one member of each team must attend a mandatory business planning seminar in either the fall or the spring.
- Important Dates
All teams planning to compete must submit an Intent to Present form by February 9, 2012. Full written business plans are due on April 5, 2012. The final event will take place on April 20, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
First place: $25,000
Second place: $10,000
Third place: $5,000
There is also the potential for a $50,000 - $100,000 seed fund to be awarded to the business plan most likely to attract future venture capital investment.
- Other Info
Student teams will present business plans based on technological intellectual property (with the permission of the owner of said intellectual property) to a group of judges consisting of successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, technologists, and other business experts from accounting, law and management.
