Who's Eligible

Participants in the contest must be current students at the University of Central Florida. Business proposals should be for ventures that have received less than $100,000 in prior funding and less than $20,000 in revenue. 

Important Dates

All entries for the pitch contest are due on February 13, 2012. All participants selected as finalists must attend a mandatory orientation session on February 16, 2012. The final event will take place on February 24, 2012, where participants will be given 90 seconds to present their business concept and 90 seconds to answer questions.

Competition Prizes

1st place: $1,500 cash

2nd place: $750 cash

3rd place: $500 cash 

4th place: $250 cash

The winner of this contest will automatically qualify to participate in the UCF Joust Business Plan Tournament

Other Info

Participants are not permitted to use PowerPoint to enhance their presentation. The only visual aid allowed would need to be held in the participant’s hand, and no larger than an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper or a bowling ball.
