- Who's Eligible
Open to students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college or university of the University System of Maryland. Alumni are also eligible.
Companies must meet one of two eligibility requirements:
- Operating companies must have generated at least $5,000 in revenue, or have won funding through a university-sponsored business or business plan competition
- Teams must have formed a legal business entity with a product that is developed at a minimum version 1.0, with proof of traction such as beta users or subscribers.
- Important Dates
Entries are due on February 19, 2012. Semi-finalists will present their business plans on March 5-7, 2012, and finalists will be announced on March 9, 2012. All finalists will take part in the final competition at the University of Maryland on March 30, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
$25,000 total in prizes will be awarded.
- Other Info
The Cupid's Cup competition is designed to identify and support students and young alumni who have already started their own businesses. Five finalists will pitch their businesses to Kevin Plank, Founder and CEO of Under Armour, and a panel of judges at the final event.
