- Who's Eligible
At least one graduate student must be a member of each management team. The business plan must be prepared under faculty supervision. One team from each participating university or college is eligible to compete.
Ventures must be in the seed, start-up, or early stage.
- Important Dates
Intent to Compete forms must be submitted from participating schools by December 16, 2011. Final business plans are due on January 27, 2011. The final Graduate Business Plan Competition will take place on February 24, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
Grand Prize: $10,000
1st runner up: $3,000
2nd runner up: $2,000
3rd runner up: $1,000
Best Technology Plan Award: $1,000
Winner of Taxi/Limo Competition: $1,000
- Other Info
The UC Taxi/Limo Competition will give teams a ten minute limo ride mirroring a chance encounter with a potential angel investor. Cash prizes will be awarded to those teams who convince him/her of their business plan viability - before the ride comes to a halt.
