Participants will compete in one of three competition tracks: Undergraduate, Upper Track: Graduate Student/Faculty/Staff/Alumni and Social Innovation Ventures.Teams may include members without ties to Temple (students from other colleges, etc.), but the founder/CEO/main shareholder must be affiliated with Temple University.
- Important Dates
Intent to Compete forms are due on January 31, 2011. Full business plans are due on March 28, 2011. Finalists will be announced in early April, and will be invited to pitch their business plans at the final business plan competition on April 27, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
Total 2011 prize pool is worth over $200,000 in cash, Microsoft Products, and professional services.
- Other Info
In awarding the grand prize in the Be Your Own Boss Bowl, judges will look for the most strategic, well thought out and comprehensive business plan. The strength of the idea or business concept itself is less important. Both "life style" businesses and true scalable entrepreneurial ventures are acceptable in the competition.
