Who's Eligible
All teams must consist of at least 1 part-time or full-time student (Undergraduate, Graduate, Post-doctorate) registered for the 2010-2011 year. Alternatively, students are eligible that have graduated in the year prior to the competition, from an eligible academic institution (University of Calgary, SAIT Polytechnic or Mount Royal University). 
Important Dates

The deadline to register is November 17, 2010. Final business plans must be submitted by January 28, 2011, and semi-finalists will give oral presentations on February 11, 2011. The top 3 prize-winning finalists will be announced on February 18, 2011.

Competition Prizes

1st place receives a $6,000 cash prize as well as a technology commercialization prize package. Two runner ups will each receive $2,000 cash.

The top 3 finalists will continue on to compete in the TEC VenturePrize Provincial Student Competition, for a chance at an additional $10,000 in prize money.

Other Info

Participants will have the opportunity to attend free weekly business plan seminars, which will run from October to November 2010.
