- Who's Eligible
- All teams must consist of at least 1 part-time or full-time student (Undergraduate, Graduate, Post-doctorate) registered for the 2010-2011 year. Alternatively, students are eligible that have graduated in the year prior to the competition, from an eligible academic institution (University of Calgary, SAIT Polytechnic or Mount Royal University).
- Important Dates
The deadline to register is November 17, 2010. Final business plans must be submitted by January 28, 2011, and semi-finalists will give oral presentations on February 11, 2011. The top 3 prize-winning finalists will be announced on February 18, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
1st place receives a $6,000 cash prize as well as a technology commercialization prize package. Two runner ups will each receive $2,000 cash.
The top 3 finalists will continue on to compete in the TEC VenturePrize Provincial Student Competition, for a chance at an additional $10,000 in prize money.

Participants will have the opportunity to attend free weekly business plan seminars, which will run from October to November 2010.
