South Dakota Governor's Office of Economic Development, South Dakota Enterprise Institute

Open to students at any South Dakota college, university or technical school. 

Applications and business plans must be submitted by February 24, 2012. Selected finalists will be announced on March 19, 2012. These finalists will present their plans to the judges at the final competition in Sioux Falls on April 10, 2012. 

1st place: $5,000

2nd place: $3,000

3rd place: $2,500

4th place: $2,000

The remaining four qualifiers will receive $500 each to help with the expense of participation. 

All final qualifiers will be expected to give presentations and discuss their ideas with business leaders, finance experts and others invited to attend the event.
