- Who's Eligible
- Students must have either been enrolled at Santa Barbara City College for at least one course during the current academic year or be currently enrolled at one of the area high schools.
- Important Dates
Registration for the competition opens on January 3, 2011. Student submissions are due on February 25, 2011. Finalists will be selected on April 15, 2011, and will be invited to pitch at the final competition on May 13, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
Three winning students will be chosen from each tier. The winning students receive various levels of cash awards depending on the awards raised and participating sponsors. The current goal is $15,000 for cash and various in-kind opportunities.
- Other Info
The competition has two tiers: a high school level competition and a college level competition. High school competitors must be enrolled in a qualified entrepreneurship or Virtual Enterprise program in order to be eligible to compete.
