Who's Eligible

Open to full or part-time students (graduate or undergraduate) registered at any Iowa college or university. Each team must have at least one student member. 

Business plans should be for start-up ventures only, not existing businesses. 

Important Dates

Intent to Compete forms must be submitted by February 29, 2012. The deadline to submit applications and business plans is March 28, 2012. Three winners from each region will be selected as finalists following Round 1 of judging on April 11, 2012. The finalists will present their plans in the Statewide Competition on April 25, 2012. Award presentations will follow. 

Competition Prizes

Three $5,000 awards will be presented to the top three teams.

Other Info

The five regions consist of five Iowa post-secondary institutions: University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Northern Iowa, North Iowa Community College, and Drake University.
