- Who's Eligible
Each team should have at least two students, one of them who must be a graduate student. At least one of the student members must also be currently enrolled at Rice University.
Each team's business plan must be prepared under faculty supervision. The competition is for new, independent ventures in the seed, start-up, or early growth stages.
- Important Dates
Executive summaries and applications are due on January 27, 2012. A video elevator pitch must be uploaded as part of the application. The teams selected to continue on in the competition will be announced on February 3, 2012. Those teams must submit a final written business plan on February 13, 2012. Oral presentations will take place on February 17, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
The winning team of this competition will win an invitation to the 2012 Rice Business Plan Competition. In addition, the team will win mentoring, coaching, and introductions to potential investors.
