Currently enrolled graduate students. At least one member of each team must be a graduate student; however, undergraduate students and non-students are allowed to participate on the management team. The competition is for new, independent ventures in the seed, start‐up, or early growth stages.

Intent To Compete Forms and Excutive Summaries are due February 11, 2011. Semi-finalist business plans are due on March 24, 2011. The final competition takes place April 7-9, 2011 in Portland, Oregon.
- Competition Prizes
Grand Prize: $25,000 cash, Second Prize: $10,000, Third Prize: $2,500
Grand prize team also receives automatic berth in 2011 Venture Labs Investment (MOOT Corp) Competition

The New Venture Championship takes place over three days, and includes six “rounds of innovation” – Start-Up Round, Trade Show, Elevator Pitch, Semi-final, Lightning (consolation) Round, and Final Round.
