Must be at least 18 years old and a South Carolina resident. 
Important Dates

The deadline for submission of a business idea is September 20, 2010. Prizes will be awarded at the Small Business Innovation Summit on November 3, 2010 in Charleston, SC.

Competition Prizes

Grand prize winner receives $5,000 cash along with a 'Dream Team' of advisors and a scholarship to the FastTrac® entrepreneurial training program of their choice. Winners in each of 5 categories receive $2,500 cash and a scholarship to a FastTrac® entrepreneurial training program, while runners-up receive $1,000.

Other Info

This competition does not require a full business plan and does not involve presentations, making it very simple. The five categories are Bio-Science, Environmental Sustainability, Engineering, Software & Internet Technology and Wildcard. The Wildcard category is judge different from the rest and includes public voting.
