Who's Eligible

Teams must each have at least one MIT student as a member in order to be eligible. In this competition, teams will work to build a demo of their business idea to present in the finals. Demos can be a proof of concept, experimental data, or a beta service.

Teams can enter into one of six tracks: Emerging Markets, Energy, Life Sciences, Mobile, Products & Services, Web/IT. 

Important Dates

The deadline to register is December 2, 2011. Semi-finalist teams must submit a 5-minute video demo and a 2-page executive summary by February 3, 2012. 8 teams will be chosen as finalists on February 10, 2012, and will present their demos at the Finale Show on Feburary 22, 2012. 

Competition Prizes

The grand prize winner will receive $10,000. An Audience Choice Award winner will also receive $2,000. 

Other Info

The ACCELERATE Contest, new this year to the MIT $100k Entrepreneurship Competition, is focused on helping entrepreneurs turn their ideas into reality. Various resources will be provided to teams as they work to develop a demo of their idea to present in February.
