Students from any Michigan college or university are eligible for the prize.Teams' business concepts, core technologies, or market solutions must meet one of the clean energy challenges. 

First Milestone Reviews take place during the week of November 21, 2011. Second milestone review pitches will take place December 8&9, 2011. Final rounds of pitches and awards will take place on February 17, 2012. 

First place - $50,000

Second place - $20,000

6 category prizes of $5,000 each

5 special achievement prizes of $5,000 each 

This year, the competition expanding the format of the event to include a variety of additional phases that will enable student and faculty led teams to go from an idea to venture launch during a six month program.
