Who's Eligible

The Loyola University Chicago Business Plan Competition is for new, original and independent ventures in the idea, seed, start-up or early stage. Businesses must not have received more than $50,000 in funding or have earned more than $100,000 in gross revenues. 

Important Dates

All teams must submit intent to compete forms by March 1, 2011. Written business plans are due on March 15, 2011. Five finalists will be selected to present their business plans at the final round of competition, which takes place on April 15, 2011 on the campus of Loyola University Chicago.

Competition Prizes

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three business plans as determined by a panel of distinguished final round judges:

1st place: $5,000

2nd place: $3,000

3rd place: $2,000

The theme of the 2011 Loyola University Chicago Business Plan Competition is “Tomorrow’s Innovators.” Participants will present sustainable business solutions and innovative business models to a panel of leaders from a variety of backgrounds.
