Who's Eligible

The LI YEC is open to individuals 17-22 years of age at the time of entry. The competition is divided into two tracks: (1) the Entrepreneur Track open to individuals who reside on Long Island and (2) the Student Track open to those who are full-time undergraduate students at an accredited Long Island College or University. Important Dates

The Long Island Young Entrepreneur Challenge (LI YEC) opens for electronic submissions on Wednesday, March 6th, 2013 at 12:00 pm EST and closes to submissions on Friday, April 5th at 5:00 pm EST.

Competition Prizes

4. Prize: Top scoring Entrants who are invited to the live pitch challenge will be eligible for start-up funding and a suite of business services and/or products. The Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either expressed or implied by the Sponsor. Winners may not substitute, assign, or transfer prize or redeem for cash, but the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as provided.
