- Who's Eligible
Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from around the world are eligible to participate in this competition. Any team that has undergraduate students as members must have at least one graduate student on the team as well.
The business plan must contain an intellectual property component, which is based on IP assets developed in house or licensed from a third party.
- Important Dates
The team registration period opens on November 16, 2011. All teams must register by January 31, 2012. Business plans must be submitted by February 29, 2012. Finalists will be announced on April 3, 2012, and will participate in the Final Round and Competition Dinner on May 14, 2012. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on May 16, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts.
- Competition Prizes
The winning team will receive a $10,000 cash prize. The LESI Global Award of $5,000will be presented to the team whose plan best deals with IP rights and their use in the global business environment. Runner up teams will receive $1,000 each.
