Who's Eligible

Teams must consist of at least 50% Wilfrid Laurier University students. 

Important Dates

Stage 1 materials (Business Model Canvas and Business Description) must be submitted by January 16, 2012. Stage 2 materials (Video Pitch and 5-page business plan) are due on February 3, 2012. Stage 3 full business plans are due on February 24, 2012. The final stage of the competition, which consists of finalists presentations, will take place on a date to be announced. 

Competition Prizes

1st place: $5,000 CDN, $5,000 worth of in-kind services

2nd place: $2,000 CDN, $3,000 worth of in-kind services

3rd place: $1,000 CDN, $2,000 worth of in-kind services

Other Info

The panel of judges will consist of individuals from the business community including
entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, lawyers, and financial service professionals.

If a winning participant decides not to start the venture then $1000 is given to a charity of their choice and the rest of the prize money will be distributed accordingly among the other top 3 finalists.
