At least one team member has to be an enrolled student (either full-time or part-time) in one of the academic divisions at Johns Hopkins University.Business plans may be submitted to only one of the following categories:-General Business-Life Sciences (includes Biotechnology and Medical Devices)
- Important Dates
Round 1 executive summaries and entry forms are due on March 4, 2011. The top 12 teams in each category will be asked to submit a written business plan by April 8, 2011. After review of the plans, the top 8 teams in each category will present their business plans to the judges at the final round of competition on April 28, 2011. Winners will be announced following the presentations.
- Competition Prizes
The 2011 competition prize package will be announced soon. Last year's competition had a prize pool of $32,500.
- Other Info
Each finalist team gives a refined seven-minute presentation followed by eight minutes of questions from a panel of judges compromised of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and alumni. All the business plans in each category are then reviewed and scored by a panel of three to five judges.
