John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers
- Who's Eligible
- The plan must be an original idea for a business in operation for four years or less, with net worth of $3 million or less, and with principal business operations in Iowa. Businesses can include, but are not limited to: technology, bio-technology, green technologies, medical, advanced manufacturing, agriculture and agri-products, engineering, and education.
- Important Dates
Applications are due April 30, 2010. Accepted participants must submit a business plan by June 30, 2010. Finals are on September 9, 2010 with three winners to be notified on September 14, 2010. The ranking of the three winners is determined after their 15-minute presentations for Iowa Venture Capital and Entrepreneurs Conference (IVCEC) in Des Moines on October 5, 2010.
- Competition Prizes
Cash prizes of $25,000 for first place, $15,000 for second place, and $10,000 for third place.
- Other Info
Decisions will be made by a panel of judges consisting of representatives from the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Centers, the Small Business Development Centers, the Iowa Accelerators/Incubators, Iowa Business Council, and private equity firms.
