- United States residents at least 18 years old. A business must be nominated in order to win. You can nominate your own business.
- Important Dates
Votes from small business owners and fans accummulate between April 1 and June 30, 2010. For each contest, three winners are drawn at random, and from those three, one grand prize winner is selected by panel of judges. At the end of each month (April, May, June), three businesses are randomly chosen from all of the nominations posted since the start of the contest on April 1 to become finalists. The judge(s) will then determine which one of the nine finalists will win the Grand Prize.
- Competition Prizes
The nine randomly selected finalists receive small business grants worth $5000.The grand prize winner receives an additional grant worth $25,000.
- Other Info
The more nominations a local business receives, the greater its chances in this contest. However, you only get one nomination so you probably do not want to nominate another business if you want your own business to have a shot.
