Participants can meet eligibility requirements in one of two categories:
For-Profit - The venture must have a primary business location in New Jersey, and be at least 51% owned by a minority, woman, or veteran. The previous year's revenue cannot have exceeded $1 million.
Non-Profit - For New Jersey-based businesses with 501(c)(3) status.
- Important Dates
Entrants are encouraged to submit an executive summary by October 19, 2011. Those that do will receive feedback on their submissions to help them with the writing of their business plan. Full business plans are due on February 6, 2012. Finalists will be announced on March 5, 2012, and will present their business plans on March 29, 2012, following a week of coaching sessions.
- Competition Prizes
The grand prize consists of $10,000 cash, as well as a digital branding package from websignia, a diagnostic assessment from B2B CFO, and a one-year membership to the IFEL Accelerator Program. More prizes will be announced as the competition progresses.
- Other Info
Participants must pay a $120 fee to enter the competition. This helps to cover the cost of the coaching sessions and webinars that will be offered.
