Who's Eligible

Open to students of Eastern Washington University, Spokane Community College, and Whitworth University. Plans can be entered in one of three categories: Student Generated Ideas, Community-Based Plans, or Social Enterprise Plans. There are specific eligibility requirements for each category, which can be found here.

Important Dates

Entry forms are due on February 17, 2012. Executive summaries must be submitted by March 8, 2012, and complete business plans are due on April 5-6, 2012. Five finalists in each category will be selected to advance on April 13, 2012. The finalists will make oral presentations at Whitworth University on April 19, 2012.

Competition Prizes

In each of the three categories: 

1st place: $5,000

2nd place: $2,000

3rd place: $500

Other Info

Students participating in the BPC may receive a number of additional benefits: mentoring, legal advice, coaching, access to potential angel investors or other sources of funding, public relations support, and other opportunities for exposure to the market.
