Open to Utah residents 18 and older. If the plan is for a currently functioning business, the business must be located in Utah. If the business is not yet launched, it must plan to be located in Utah within the next 3 years.
Ventures can fall into one of three categories: Idea, Start-Up, or Growth.
- Important Dates
The round 1 deadline to submit executive summaries is April 6, 2012. Advancing teams must submit full business plans as well as 2-minute videos by the Round 2 deadline of April 23, 2012. Participants chosen to move on to the Live Event will be notified on May 4, 2012. Final presentations and question and answer sessions will take place at the Live Event on May 21, 2012, before awards are presented.

Idea Category: prizes ranging from $1,000 to $10,000
Start-Up Category: prizes ranging from $3,000 to $25,000
Growth Category: prize ranging from $10,000 to $100,000
