Any current Georgia Tech student or alumni who was a student and graduated in either Spring 2010, Summer 2010 or Fall 2010. Entries must be for very early stage product/service idea or venture concept that is focused on creating a better world.
- Important Dates
Intent to compete forms are due on February 21, 2011. Executive summaries and video pitches are due on February 28, 2011. Finalists will be announced following the Poster Competition on March 10, 2011, and will present their idea at the final round on March 16, 2011 at Georgia Tech.
- Competition Prizes
1st place: $2,000
2nd place: $1,500
3rd place: $1,000
Several additional People's Choice Prizes ranging from ($100 to $250) will also be awarded.
- Other Info
The ideas submitted to the Ideas to Serve Competition should eventually lead to sustainable organizations, ones that are able to generate sufficient income flows to provide returns for investors (in case of for-profits) as well as to sustain over time the mission of the organization (for both for-profits as well as non-profits).
