Description

Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of a weekend. The weekend brings together people with different skillsets - primarily software developers, graphics designers and business people - to build applications and develop a commercial case around them.  Student's are welcome to participate or just attend.  Presenters will be performing their elevator pitches during the weekend event.

Who's Eligible

All Fairfield undergraduate students have an exciting opportunity to pursue their own unique ventures through this first-ever competition. Students from across campus are invited to develop and submit a proposal for a business venture, which will be judged by an expert panel of entrepreneurs and business executives at a celebration event on April 10, 2012.  Prize money totaling $12,000 will be divided among the winning teams.
