Open to all faculty-sponsored full and part-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at any of Arkansas's universities or colleges.
Plans must be for ventures in the seed, start-up or early stage.
- Important Dates
Intent to compete forms are due from all participating teams by January 20, 2012. Business plans must be submitted online by February 17, 2012. Finalists will be announced on March 8, 2012, and will present their plans on March 29 & 30, 2012. Winners will be announced in Little Rock at the annual Awards Luncheon on April 11, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
Cash prizes totaling $272,000 will be awarded in the graduate, undergraduate tracks. Innovation and Agriculture prizes will also be awarded.
- Other Info
Since the business plan competition was started in 2001, more than 1,300 students representing 22 Arkansas colleges and universities have participated. The students and their faculty advisors have received over $1,000,000 in prize money.
1st and 2nd place winners in each division will go on to compete in the Governor's Cup Tri-State Award against the winners from the Oklahoma and Nevada competitions.
