Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology
- Who's Eligible
Open to all faculty-sponsored, full-time and part-time degree- or certificate-seeking undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at any of Nevada’s universities or colleges. The business plan must be for a seed, start-up or early stage venture and must address the entire business concept (including implementation).
- Important Dates
Intent to Compete forms are due on February 23, 2011, with submission of written business plans due on March 23, 2011. Finalists will present their business plans in Reno, Nevada on April 19, 2011, and winners will be announced at an awards dinner the following night.
- Competition Prizes
First place winners in each division (Undergraduate and Graduate) receive $20,000, second place finishers receive $10,000, and third place finishers receive $5,000. Other finalists receive $1,000. The faculty advisers for each of these teams receive $500-$2,000. Additional cash prizes for the business plan that best employs clean, renewable or efficient energy technologies and services.

This is one of three state competitions in Arkansas, Nevada, and Oklahoma leading up to the Tri-State Donald W. Reynolds Award.
