- Open to legal U.S. residents 18 or older. Entries can be submitted by an individual or a team of up to five people.
- Important Dates
The deadline to submit entries is May 2, 2011. Finalists will be announced in September, 2011, and winners will be announced at the awards event in October, 2011.
- Competition Prizes
The five finalists will each receive $25,000.
The overall winner will be awarded $100,000.
The first runner-up will receive $50,000.
The second runner-up will receive $25,000.
- Other Info
Submissions will be judged according to the following equally weighted criteria on a sliding scale of 1-10, with one representing the lowest score and 10 the highest: creativity (i.e., how novel is the Concept), scalability (i.e., can the Concept have a large-scale impact), sustainability (i.e. can the Concept be used over time without severely depleting resources), and commercial viability (i.e., is the Concept legal?) (the "Judging Criteria").
