- Who's Eligible
Each participating team's leader must be a student at a Connecticut college or university. Each team must have a faculty adviser.
Ventures must have year-to-date sales under $50,000 to eligible.
- Important Dates
Teams must submit entry materials by April 11, 2012. Finalists will be announced on April 17, 2012. The final competition, during which finalists will give three-minute powerpoint pitches, will take place on April 20, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
Two $1,000 prizes will be awarded - one to the best personal business plan, and one to the best Venture business plan.
Two $500 prizes will be awarded to the best presentations in each of the two categories, as well as two $500 prizes to the best online submission in each of the categories.
A $5,000 "Best In Show" prize will also be awarded.

Teams can enter into either the Personal business category or the Venture business category.
Personal businesses are typically small, serve a limited market, and serve small businesses or consumers. Venture enterprises are generally higher risk, take longer to start up and require more capital but have higher potential returns.
