- Who's Eligible
- The team leader and primary presenter must be a student at a Connecticut college or university during the current academic year. Proposed business must be new or relatively new. (Less than $50,000 in annual revenue)
- Important Dates
Business proposals are due on November 17, 2010. Finalists will be announced on November 24, 2010, and the finals, comprised of a 3-minute presentation and a Q&A session, will take place on December 17, 2010.
- Competition Prizes
$1000 cash prizes will be awarded to the best personal business plan and the best venture business plan.
- Other Info
Personal businesses are typically small, serve a limited market, and serve small businesses or consumers. Venture enterprises are generally higher risk, take longer to start up and require more capital but have higher potential returns. The judges panel will determine which category the entered proposals fall into.
