Who's Eligible
Open to organizations that facilitate entrepreneurial business activity and/or serve immigrant communities. Business plans should take aim at enabling immigrant entrepreneurs to start, operate, and expand their businesses in New York City.
Important Dates

Entrant proposals are due on August 31, 2011. Selected finalists must submit their final business plans in April 2012. The final event and award ceremony will take place in May 2012.

Competition Prizes

Prizes will be given out in each of the two rounds of the business plan competition. In the first round, a $25,000 seed grant will be given out. At the end of round II, a $100,000 program grant will be awarded.

Other Info

Proposals submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a panel of judges comprised of business and non-profit leaders, representatives from New York City agencies and academics. Proposals will be judged on several criteria including, but not limited to: feasibility, applicability, scalability, and sustainability.
