This competition is open to all West Lafayette Purdue Students. Non-students can be team members, but currently enrolled Purdue students must make the final presentations.
- Important Dates
Registration opens on September 13, 2011, and closes on October 27, 2011. Following the submission of executive summaries in November and the announcement of semifinalists in December, contestants must submit full business plans by January 18, 2012. Finalists will be announce on February 9, 2012, and will compete in the final business plan competition on February 21, 2012.
- Competition Prizes
In the Gold division, cash prizes range from $30,000 for 1st place to $3,750 for 5th place.
In the Black division, cash prizes range from $20,000 for 1st place to $2,500 for 5th place.
In addition to cash prizes, the top three finishers in the Gold division will also receive free legal and consulting services, valued at $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000, respectively.

Teams will compete in one of two divisions in this business plan competition: Gold or Black.
The Gold division is open to teams comprised of undergraduate students, graduate students, or a combination of both. Staff and faculty can also make up part of these teams.
The Black division is open to undergraduate students only. Each team must have a faculty advisor.
