BIG Idea Competition

Description

The purpose of the BIG Idea Competition is to foster entrepreneurship by getting
high school students to think about business opportunities and the possibility of
creating those opportunities in South Dakota. Student ideas can be for any type
of business they choose. It could be an idea for a business that would serve a
local area or an idea for a new or innovative product or service that a student has
identified. The business idea will be judged solely on the written entry.

Welcome to the sixth year of the BIG Idea Competition. High school students can compete for cash and scholarships by submitting a 1,075-word description of their business idea. Returning again this year is the Marketing Design competition where students can choose to also create a logo and ad for their idea. This competition for high school students in South Dakota was created through the collaborative efforts of many organizations and is funded by Absolutely! Aberdeen. This website will provide resources to assist you with your idea development and will be the place where you submit your application.
