- The startup must be a legally existing company and have a license or option-to-license with a research institution (namely a university, research hospital, research institute, government laboratory), and the obligated technology must comprise an integral part of the startup’s business focus. The business must have a focus in the health care industry.
- Important Dates
Competitors must submit an executive summary by December 1, 2010. A review committee will select six finalists, who will be invited to present their business plans at the AUTM Annual Meeting on March 1, 2011, in Las Vegas.
- Competition Prizes
The winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize.
- Other Info
Each finalist will receive reimbursement from AUTM of up to $1,000 for travel expenses and hotel at Caesars Palace.
