The Colorado School of Mines’ 8th Continent Project
- Who's Eligible
- University students. While undergraduate students are welcome to participate, this competition is geared mostly toward graduate students, and at least one graduate student must be part of every team.
- Important Dates
Entries must be submitted via YouNoodle by March 1, 2011. The final round of competition will be held on April 8-9, 2011 on the campus of the Colorado School of Mines.
- Competition Prizes
$40,000 in prizes will be awarded including cash and in-kind services, as well as a ride in zero-gravity.
- Other Info
The 8th Continent Business Plan Competition is unique because it encourages students of many disciplines – business, engineering, and science – to collaborate on one project. The focus of the competition is on space-derived technologies and how they can be applied to products and services here on Earth, which also makes it one-of-a-kind.
